It was 8 Nov 2012 when LaDonna and I found multiple Ferruginous Hawks near Cash. With this in mind, we drove up yesterday hoping for a repeat. We were not disappointed. Just as we were approaching the stop sign at the terminus of US 67, we noticed a large white-bellied hawk perched on one of the signs above the freeway overpass. I was hopeful as this was a favorite perch for one particular Ferruginous last year and indeed it was a Ferruginous Hawk. We watched it for quite some time as it moved about the area and even heard it call several times. The photo below was taken yesterday. Kenny & LaDonna Nichols Cabot

An adult Ferruginous remains near the end of 67 at the 226 bridge.
