Never ending random dragonfly thread

I never see Variegated Meadowhawks until October and then I see them everywhere. And I'm still seeing them. Does anyone else see them earlier than October or is this when they normally appear?

I haven't kept records of them for years, but I should imagine October is the earliest. Unless you want a really early one: I found one record for May 15th! (Maybe left over from winter?)
