I've seen the Snoberry (sp?) Clearwing (or whatever it's called) at our Hot Lips many, many times and they do sorta, kinda look like a hummer. However, a few days ago we had what I think was a White-lined Moth(?) at the Hot Lips. NOW, that guy looks like a hummer!! Didn't get a photo but a google image search for hummingbird moths brings this one up along with the Snoberry.

Here is a Hummingbird Clearwing we took pictures of last year at Harold Alexander W.M.A. It has a pure white breast and legs while the Snowberry Clearwing is brown and black with strong black lines across the breast and down the leg. The White-lined Sphinx moth is a lot like a hummingbird. They really like our Summer Phlox at dusk. Cheryl and Norman Attachments:
