I continue to find Cave Swallows mixed in with the other swallows primarily as they perch on the telephone lines across Beard's Lake. This past Saturday, yesterday and today, at least 1 bird has been seen. On Saturday and yesterday, I had a fairly young juvie. Today, I found and photographed an older juvie that essentially resembled an adult on the head and back but not all of its primaries had been replaced. Also, on Saturday, I had all of the swallows on the Arkansas list together in one spot. I have attached a couple of passable images regretfully taken from great distance. I'm pretty sure I had one at Treadways today but it flushed and I didn't have the patience to wait for it to settle back in.
