Had one in our yard yesterday, the only place I've ever seen them. Anybody else see these guys? And where?

We see them on Crowley's Ridge but not commonly, one place is Village Creek State Park. Paulson gives their habitat as slow-moving streams with wooded or shrubby banks and less often lakes. Are you seeing them in Dardanelle or Cabot? Norman and Cheryl Lavers

In Cabot. In our yard. No slow moving streams in the immediate vicinity but there is a small (3+/- acre) pond behind us. I guess I'm somewhat amazed at how local some dragonfly species really are. There is a probably 14-16 species that I see virtually everywhere. The rest, not so much.

In Little Rock they can usually be found at Wildwood Park and at Pinnacle Mtn. in the Kingfisher Trail area near the highway bridge.
