The Xerces Society has put out a new online publication on milkweeds for the Central U.S. which includes our area. It offers sources for seeds and is aimed at land managers but might also be helpful to home gardeners. www.xerces.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Milkweeds-of-Central-US_plus-vendors_XercesSociety.pdfMilkweeds are very attractive to much more than Monarchs. This year our butterflyweeds (A. tuberosa) and Common Milkweeds (A.syriaca) and Perennial Milkweed (A.perennis) have been pretty lonely.
