.....have for years been a very reliable location to find Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks. Usually, they are around one of the farm ponds across the road. Today, we saw 4 different pairs -all on sewer pond property. One pair was a flyover. The other three pairs each had young. One pair had 3 fairly good sized young, another pair also had 5 good sized young and the third pair was accompanied by 16 very small whistle-ducks. It very well looks like they'll continue as a fixture in this area.
Almost forgot, we also had 3-4 Least Terns flying around one of the sewer ponds.
