Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) (1)

- Comments: "Bird was observed sitting on low bridge railing over a horseshoe lake in the early evening. 8pm. Bird appeared to be approximately 18-20 inches tall, lightly speckled white. The most noticeable feature was the bright yellow eyes. Approached slowly in vehicle to within 20' for 2-3 minutes before owl took flight into the bald cypress stands north of my position and not to be seen again."
